Known for its non-abrasive and lubricating properties, low thermal expansion, and non-wettability to molten metals, hot pressed boron nitride (HPBN) is highly valued in industries requiring high-temperature resistance and chemical stability.
Advantages of BN Ceramic

Compared to other high-performance ceramics, BN ceramic has lower mechanical strength and is softer, making it less resistant to wear and deformation. It is not ideal for applications requiring high mechanical load-bearing capacity or intense friction resistance.
2.Hygroscopic Nature
Boron nitride ceramic exhibits some moisture absorption, which can be problematic when exposed to humid environments or prolonged air exposure. This characteristic may lead to internal stress accumulation, particularly in high-temperature or thermal cycling applications. Moisture-induced expansion and contraction can further increase stress concentration, potentially causing microcracks or material failure over time.
