Product detail
An advanced ceramic material, Hot Pressed Boron Nitride (BN) Ceramic, can be used in atmosphere protection conditions up to 2100℃. It is known for its high electrical resistivity and ability to withstand high breakdown voltage, which is about 3-4 times that of alumina ceramic. Furthermore, it has good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient, making it ideal for applications where rapid temperature changes may occur without cracking. It is also resistant to most molten metals or glasses, making it suitable for use as metal smelting crucibles. Additionally, due to its soft hardness, it can be easily machined into high accuracy and complex components using common metal processing tools.
Mascera, a reputable supplier of hot pressed boron nitride ceramic, offers several grades of materials to meet various property requirements. In addition to high purity 99% boron nitride ceramic, we also provide boron nitride ceramic composites with zirconia ceramic, aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, and alumina ceramic. If you have any demand, please feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

In comparison to alumina ceramics, boron nitride ceramics offer several advantages:
1.Boron nitride ceramic has a maximum working temperature of up to 2100 degrees Celsius under atmosphere protection, whereas alumina ceramic's maximum temperature is limited to 1700 degrees Celsius.
2.Boron nitride ceramic has superior thermal shock resistance compared to alumina ceramic. It can withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking. For instance, it can be taken out of a 1000 degree Celsius furnace and continuously blown and quenched 100 times without cracking, whereas alumina ceramic is prone to cracking under similar conditions.
3.Boron nitride ceramic exhibits electrical insulation strength that is 3-4 times greater than that of alumina ceramic.
4.Boron nitride ceramic is inert to molten glasses or metals, making it an ideal material for containers for high-temperature sintering or melting crucibles, setter plates, and other similar applications.
In comparison to alumina ceramics, boron nitride ceramics offer several advantages:
1.The strength, hardness, and wear resistance of boron nitride ceramics are lower than those of alumina ceramics. As a result, they are not ideal for use under vibration and friction conditions.
2.The maximum working temperature of boron nitride ceramics in the air is limited to 1000 degrees Celsius, and it will start to oxidize if it exceeds this temperature.
