Additionally, silicon nitride ceramic has strong corrosion resistance, reacting only with hydrofluoric acid and not with other inorganic acids. Si3N4 also exhibits excellent thermal shock resistance, remaining intact even when heated to 1000°C in air and then rapidly cooled.
